Insurance Defense
At Campolo, Middleton & McCormick, LLP we are committed to defending third party lawsuits for insurance carriers, especially where self-insured retentions are involved. We understand the position of the insurance client as well as the insured client. Each matter is immediately and continually evaluated. The goal is to provide the necessary information to the client so that the appropriate decision can be made regarding early resolution or continued defense or prosecution of each case.
Transportation Law
We represent public and private transportation providers including municipal bus lines, coach and school bus companies, fleet carriers,
logistics companies and limousine businesses. The representation of these companies requires special attention to accident reconstruction
and investigation, regulatory compliance, loss transfer and environmental concerns.
Motor Vehicle Defense
Recent changes in laws involving no-fault and other issues have complicated these matters. Our firm has the experience and knowledge to
navigate these cases through negotiation and litigation. We also represent self-insured trucking, logistics, and bus and transportation companies,
always providing an aggressive defense. Representation of these companies also includes no-fault, loss transfer, SUM, property damage and
subrogation matters.
Construction and Labor Law (Scaffold, Worksite Accidents)
The firm has regularly represented clients involving lawsuits arising from construction accidents. These cases usually involve severe or even
catastrophic injuries. Construction accidents, which are covered by New York’s Labor Law, give rise to complex litigation involving an interplay
of numerous parties, contractual, insurance and statutory issues. Because each case is handled individually, our clients receive the personalized
attention these cases require.
Premises Liability
The firm continues to represent clients in cases involving accidents that occur on residential, commercial and municipal property. These
include slip/trip and fall cases to more complex matters involving elevators, escalators and building code violations.
Appeals
Results achieved early in a case by motion practice or later at trial are only worthwhile if they can be protected on appeal. Campolo, Middleton & McCormick
has written and successfully argued appeals in a wide variety of cases in both State and Federal court.
